Hello there everyone! I’m dusting off the cobwebs on ye olde substack to share some happy news: my clients and I have moved to Root Literary!
It turns out that transitioning to a new agency is kind of strange. You’re starting a new job, but you’re also… not. I’m *so* grateful and excited that my clients were happy to come on this journey with me (at such a low-key, totally-stress-free time! 😅) so we can keep making great books together.
You’ve probably got an idea, now, about why I’ve been MIA here for a while. For one thing, I haven’t been doing a lot of fun airtable stuff recently since I wasn’t sure what sort of new systems I’d be rolling into at my new agency home (and it didn’t make sense to build something that would soon become obsolete).
But mostly, I’ve just been flat-out busy! There was a lot of housekeeping to do before closing things out at my last agency to leave things in good order; lots of communicating with agencies and editors and my clients; and lots of normal work to do. It’s a very good reason to be super busy, but… something had to fall off my list.

I’m excited to be back though! And I’ve got a bunch of ideas brewing for new posts. Despite it starting to feel like winter outside, I’m in a season of planting seeds, with big things to come.
Thanks for following along!
A couple postscripts…
Please note that I'll be closed to queries for the rest of the year as I settle in at Root, but I’m planning to open again in early 2025. Watch this space!
Truly a huge thanks to my client Briana, who surprised me this weekend with the illustrations in this post – she wanted me to be able to celebrate joining a new agency the way many illustrators do. I’m so lucky to work with some of the most thoughtful people in the biz 💚
Really exciting!
Big congrats!
